Yahya Erdoğan, export manager for Turkish fruit exporter Ana Fruit, states that they’ll be in the midst of harvesting more varieties of apples over the next week: “The apple season in Turkey has started. Last week we started with the harvest of the Gala variety in a couple of Turkish regions. Right now, we’re getting ready for the harvest of Red Delicious and Granny Smith apples. Overall volumes are looking good at the moment.”
